Claude our School Mascot
We have introduced a 5th member to the team: CLAUDE. Claude isn’t one of the Whingate Superheroes but is our school mascot!
Where the Superheroes provide the children with the necessary skills to be successful, Claude represents the significant knowledge strands of the curriculum.
These have been carefully identified to suit the needs of our children at Whingate:

Live healthily
Accept and respect
Understand the wider world
Dream big
Explore
Each half term, we will focus on one of the personalised strands; there will be an assembly to introduce the focus, and a dedicated day where the children will have fun learning more about each aim.
