- Mathletics Numeracy Challenge Day 9
Mathletics Numeracy Challenge Day 929 November 2016 (by CAROL NEWTON (newtoncr01)) |
Whingate are still going strong in the competition!
It was fantastic to have a visit from Jane Fisher of Mathletics today. She wanted to come in to congratulate the children on their achievements so far and to encourage them to keep going! The children were very excited to tell her about their progress in the competition, and the most impressive thing was hearing the children talking about all of the things they had learned, got better at or helped other children to understand! She has very kindly brought us some Mathletics prizes, stickers and a shiny new trophy; we will be announcing a new weekly Mathletics prize, so watch this space for further details...
It is great to see that yet another class has made it onto this week's UK leaderboard, joining 3L and overtaking 6W and 3R. Well done 5D! You also take today's top spot on the school leaderboard! You will get your first dip in the treat tin tomorrow - what a magnificent effort from you all!
1st: 5D - 2542 points
2nd: 3R - 1231 points
3rd: 3L - 1013 points
4th: 4W - 905 points
5th: 4H - 750 points
6th: 6H - 454 points

We also have some new faces on the UK leaderboard today - well done to Ameera K and Jessica J from 5D! Alfie P, Lewis P, Euan S and Harry N are also on today's UK leaderboard.
They, along with the following children who are in the top 10 for the week, can join the lunchtime session tomorrow if they wish:

Just 5 days to go now everyone! Let's keep it up!
