Mathletics Numeracy Challenge Day 323 November 2016 (by CAROL NEWTON (newtoncr01)) |
A total of 850,000 points have now been earned between 230 children!
KS2 is buzzing with excitement and a real competitive spirit from staff and children alike!
We still have 7 classes on the overall UK leaderboard, which is just fantastic!
Today's in-school class leaderboard is based on the average number of points earned by each class in the last 24 hours (This is the total number of points earned by the class, divided by the number of children in the class):
1st: 6W - 3066 points
2nd: 6H - 2624 points
3rd: 5S - 1766 points
4th: 4H - 1223 points
5th: 4W - 967 points
6th: 5D - 961 points
7th: 3R - 883 points
8th: 3L - 743 points
We must also say a huge well done to Owen in 6H, who is today's number 1 Mathlete in the entire world! This is an astonishing achievement and Owen has worked really hard today!
Lewis B, Harry N, Janik P, Amylee B, Lounes H, Kaydon C, Maya F and Euan S also finished the day among the top 100 Mathletes in the UK.
These children, along with Jayson N, Liam W and Ahmed M (who are currently in the school's top 10 for the week) earn automatic entry to tomorrow's lunchtime session, alongside children chosen by each class teacher.
Well done everyone, and remember that every point earned counts towards the overall Whingate total and brings us closer to that £500 prize!
